In the 2009 summer issue of Budapesti Könyvszemle (Budapest Review of Books) Budapest Institute's senior researcher Balázs Váradi published a short review of "The Welfare State in Europe and in Hungary" (A jóléti állam Európában és Magyarországon) by Béla Tomka.
