Bitter medicine

"Wage cuts and unemployment are (...) like bitter medicine: unpleasant but a necessary part of the cure. There is no cure, no way to return to a higher growth path without accepting wage cuts and higher unemployment. This is a condition for raising labour demand." - explained Ágota Scharle in a programme on Duna Television.
